New Lin Manuel-Miranda Song Released for Live-Action Moana

“Along the Way,” a new original song written by Lin-Manuel Miranda for Disney‘s upcoming Moana live-action film, has been released. The song is performed by Catherine Laga‘aia, who portrays Moana in the new film, alongside Dwayne Johnson, who returns as Maui, as well as Auli‘i Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the first two animated films.

“Along the Way” is included on the Moana Original Soundtrack — alongside new versions of the original songs by Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina — which arrives June 26 ahead of the film’s July 10 release.
